Overview
The Slough Cricket Club recently held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 08/12/2023 The meeting was attended by club members, VPs, the executive committee, and various stakeholders. This report aims to encapsulate the significant discussions and outcomes of the AGM, particularly focusing on the election of management and non-management positions.

Chairman's Address
The meeting commenced with the Chairman's welcoming address. He expressed gratitude towards all attendees and highlighted the club's achievements in 2023. The Chairman also set forth the club's objectives for 2024, emphasizing the importance of continued focus and dedication. The Chairman also mentioned the upcoming Bar & Clubhouse retendering, it has been five years since the last tender process was conducted.

Secretary's Review
In absence of Club Secretary, Shadow Secretary presented a comprehensive review of the club's activities in 2023. This segment covered both the successes and challenges faced during the year, providing a balanced overview of the club's performance.

Financial Report
The Treasurers took the stage to discuss the club's financial details, providing a comprehensive overview of the current fiscal status. They also outlined the financial direction for the upcoming year.

Grounds Update
Jon Gumbs, the Grounds Chairman, provided an insightful update on the status and recent developments of the 3rd Ground. He also shared news about the appointment of a new groundskeeper, highlighting the ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the club's facilities.

Election Process
The meeting proceeded to the election of committee members. Candidates presented their pitches, followed by a voting process. The votes were counted in the presence of observers Jon Gumbs and Elroy Hull. Martin House then announced the names of the newly elected committee members.

Review of Club's Constitution
Approximately over 50 proposals involving amendments and additions to the Club's constitution were reviewed. While some proposals were rejected, many were approved through a show of hands, marking significant changes to the club's governance.

Acknowledgement of Volunteers
Special thanks were extended to volunteers Shardul Ghughari (parent of Kshitij & Raghav), Raghu Ram (Parent of Krithin ), Ravi Kumar (Parent of Tanvi), Amit Wagh (Parent of Tejal) , Surendra Pande ( Parent of Sumant), Shahid Mughal ( Parent of Ayden), Sachin Dixit ( Parent of Atharva), Walid Hai and Joshua Donbosco for their invaluable assistance in conducting the successful AGM.
